Nepal Telecom (NTC) has launched 4G and 2G services in Majukot Moulathar in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality ward no. 5 in Palpa district. According to the company, the service launch now provides cellular coverage in Damar, Dhamika, Jhadewa-Khareni road, ward no. 5 office area, and other nearby stretches.

Similarly, the national telecom company also started 4G and 2G mobile networks in Hattikot, Ward No. 3 of Tinau Rural Municipality in Palpa district. The launch of modern and reliable cellular services has enabled the locals in Tinau Mudhabas, Jhumsa area, and Charange Bazaar area in the northern part of Rupandehi district with reliable voice and mobile broadband services.

The expansion in Palpa aligns with the company’s efforts to bring connectivity to more remote areas. Ntc extended 4G/2G in Karnali province at an aggressive pace. It’s working at the same speed to bring reliable connectivity to more areas across the country.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
