Kantipur Television Network has warned against the unauthorized broadcasting of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup, 2026. The company has urged that every individual or organization must screen the matches through its channels or face legal action.

The T20 World Cup 2026 is available on TV and online streaming platforms. The tournament began on Saturday, February 07, 2026. And for Nepal, Kantipur TV holds exclusive rights to broadcast the tournament in Nepal. The network’s two linear TV channels, Kantipur TV Max and Kantipur TV Max-2, are airing the matches live for Nepali audiences. ICC has also said that some matches will feature Nepali feed and will be available in certain regions.

Nepal is also locking horns in the tournament and starts against England on February 08 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In total, there are 20 teams in the contest, and the grand finale takes place on March 08. India and Sri Lanka are the co-hosts of this T20 World Cup. It’s the third time Nepal has contested in it. Find out all the T20 World Cup fixtures.

Kantipur TV asserts exclusive broadcasting rights for the T20 Cricket World Cup 2026

In a notice, Kantipur TV said that public screenings of matches shall be done only through its TV channels. Asserting that screenings must comply with ICC conditions, it warned that not adhering to the request would violate ICC media rights and laws. The gist here is that no individual or institution should screen the matches via any TV channel or digital form except Kantipur’s own.

Further, the network warned that it would take legal action against those who are involved in unofficial and unauthorized broadcasting of the tournament.
