Nepal Telecom completes digital services for quality enhancement

Here’s a list of digital services and efforts Nepal Telecom has recently completed for service quality improvement.

1. Smarter Data Usage and Pay-As-You-Go Notifications

To help users avoid unexpected main-balance deductions, Nepal Telecom has updated its data alert system:

  • 90% Usage Alerts: Customers now receive an automated notification once they use 90% of their active NTC data pack limit.
  • PAYG Control: Subscribers can also manually disable or enable Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) browsing at any time, ensuring total control over their balance.

2. Auto-Renewing Subscription-Based Packages

The company has started Namaste Recurring Packages that now eliminate the monthly hassle of manually repurchasing data plans. These subscription-based packs auto-renew monthly if there is enough balance in the SIM.

  • Available price points: Rs 299, Rs 499, Rs 699 and Rs 799.
  • These packages renew automatically, offering seamless continuity without repetitive manual recharges.

3. Improvement of 4G Network Quality

4G connectivity across the country has received a major performance boost after adding more resources.

  • Nepal Telecom has acquired an additional 5 MHz frequency in the 800 MHz band for its 4G network.
  • This upgrade significantly improves signal strength, coverage depth, and data transfer stability for 4G users.

4. One-Time KYC Submission System

Customers no longer need to submit personal details repeatedly to subscribe to different services.

  • Details are now securely stored and managed centrally within a unified CRM system.
  • Once your KYC (Know Your Customer) profile is verified, it serves as a single source for all Nepal Telecom service registrations.

5. Online Complaints and Tracking

The company has also made an effort in improving facility to enable an easier route to hear out customers’ grievances. Now, NT’s customer support and feedback management is fully digitized:

  • Subscribers can submit complaints, track issue resolution progress, and submit feedback directly through the official NT App or the company’s official website.

6. eSIM and Online SIM Replacement

Getting a new SIM card or upgrading to an eSIM is now easier and accessible remotely:

  • eSIM Provisioning: Customers can apply for an NT eSIM online through electronic platforms.
  • SIM Replacement: If a physical or eSIM card is missing, lost, or damaged, users can fill in the required details online to request a replacement with ease.

7. One-Stop Desk Services

To reduce waiting times, NT offices now feature integrated Front Help Desks.

  • Customers can handle SIM card issuance, FTTH (Fiber to the Home) setup, bill payments, and general inquiries—all from a single counter.

NT is also employing a suite of in-house software to automate its internal operations.

The company continues to modernize its infrastructure and customer services to ensure easier service accessibility and better customer experiences.
