Nepal Telecom has expressed serious concern over ‘’misleading and incomplete news reports regarding its procurement process.
In a press statement, the company clarified that Nepal Telecom was established under the Nepal Telecom Act, 2063, and operates nationwide after obtaining the required license under the Telecommunications Act, 2053. It said the company has a long history of providing quality telecommunications services across the country while complying with prevailing laws, regulations and evolving principles of good governance.

Regarding procurement, Nepal Telecom made it clear that it follows prevalent regulations in the country.
