Quad HD 120Hz LTPO 2.0 Display
With a flagship body, there comes a flagship display. Xiaomi 12 Pro boasts a 6.7 inch E5 AMOLED panel with Quad HD resolution and a 120Hz fast refresh rate. Here, the refresh rate is variable as per the content on the screen ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz as per the LTPO 2.0 technology. The display also supports 480Hz of touch sampling for a superb touch experience. It also supports HDR 10+ for vivid content and caters to up to 10 billion colors. The peak brightness goes up to 1500nits. On the edges, the screen gets slightly curved.

Flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chipset
Powering the core is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset. The octa-core silicon is based on a 4nm platform for efficiency and performance. The configuration is 1×3.00 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3×2.50 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4×1.80 GHz Cortex-A510. For graphics, there is Adreno 730 GPU. The 7th generation AI engine performs 5 times better in comparison with its previous iteration. There is also a considerably 30% improvement in GPU performance to the predecessor, Snapdragon 888. For 5G bands, it supports 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, 66, 77, 78 and 79 SA/NSA.
50MP Triple Camera
In the optics department, Xiaomi is comprising a triple 50MP setup on the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX707 sensor with a large seven-element lens at f/1.9. The lens here has Dual Pixel PDAF with OIS for stabilization. It uses pixel binning which creates 12.5MP photos in regular shooting mode. The ultrawide sensor is a 115° FOV one with an aperture of f/2.2 while the telephoto has a 48mm and an f/1.9 aperture. Here too, both of the sensors produce 12.5MP pixel binned images at normal mode. You can also click the full resolution pictures through a dedicated mode for all three cameras.
The telephoto lens offers 2x optical zoom and kicks in while clicking portrait shots and super moon mode. Digitally it can zoom up to 10x. While on the front, the smartphone boasts a single 32MP Selfie camera on a punch-hole cutout. For videography, the phone can shoot up to 8K at 24 fps from the primary shooter. It can also shoot 4K at 30/60fps.
Quad Stereo Speakers Tuned by Harman Kardon
Gaining the flagship status, the audio department is also where the Xiaomi 12 Pro shines. The phone houses quad stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, a renowned name amongst audiophiles. The speakers sit at the top and bottom respectively. The company claims the audio quality to be top-notch and immersive for watching movies or any content. Such a type of setup is usually found in tablets. But Xiaomi hasn’t compromised for its flagship by providing independent dual tweeters and dual woofers.
120W Super Fast Charging
For charging the 4600mAh cell, Xiaomi has provided a whopping 120W fast charging bundled in the box. So this makes Xiaomi the only company in Nepal to ship with the fastest charging in the box in a phone. This beast can charge the phone fully from 0-100 percent in 18 minutes under boost mode. Plus there is also a standard mode that takes around 24 minutes to do so. For safe charging, Xiaomi has also implemented various algorithms and safety measures in the software. Wirelessly, the charging capacity goes up to 50W.
MIUI 13
Xiaomi has been providing an upgrade for its skin MIUI each year. The latest one is MIUI 13 with dozens of bug fixes and improvisations. This new version doesn’t bring many visual changes from the previous version except for new widgets.
