Oppo has launched the Oppo Pad Air tablet with Snapdragon 680 in India. This is the company’s first ever tablet in India. With a 2K resolution LCD panel and 7,100mAh battery, the budget tablet is set to compete in the midrange price segment. Design and Display
Starting off its design, the tablet arrives with a typical rectangular form factor. It weighs 440grams and has the dimension of 245.1 x 154.8 x 6.9 mm. And the body is made out of plastic and features a dual-tone design on the back with a textured pattern with a shine. The company has claimed about the rear panel is fingerprint and smudges-free.
The display here is a 10.36-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2K resolution (1200 x 2000 pixels). The screen has an equal bezel on all sides. It boasts a static 60Hz refresh rate and 120HZ touch sampling rate. It also has the typical brightness of 360 nits.
Performance
The budget-centric tablet has a midrange Snapdragon 680 chipset under the hood. The 6nm-based silicon has the configuration of an Octa-core processor with 4×2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver cores. It gets the Adreno 610 GPU for handling the graphics.

While the tab is available in memory configurations with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It boots on ColorOS 12 built on top of Android 12. It also features a virtual RAM expansion of up to 3GB for multitasking.
Camera
Talking about the optics, the tab has a single camera on the back. It is an 8MP lens with an f/2.0 aperture but there is no flashlight. The camera is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p resolution at 30fps. And it also supports an 80-degree FOV. On the front side, you get a 5MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture for video calls and selfies.

The tablet gets its juice from a 7,100mAh battery. The non-removable Li-Po cell supports up to 18W of fast charging. And talking about the other specs, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, USB-C, and Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. Furthermore, there is a quad stereo speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos too. It also supports a smart stylus and Bluetooth keyboard.

The tablet seems to be a decent offering in the midrange segment. It can be a good choice for students looking for an affordable tab, especially for online classes and e-learning. The chip could have been a better one but it’s not too terrible. It performs average for a midrange device as seen on Redmi Note 11.
