Smart Telecom, the third largest telecom operator is currently testing their mobile network is Biratnagar. Biratnagar is the main metro city of Eastern region and Pradesh No. 1. So, they may launch the Smart mobile network any time soon in Biratnagar. Find the details of Smart mobile network test in Biratnagar below.

Smart Telecom’s mobile network coverage is still limited to 32 districts and the main cities. See the complete list here. Smart’s coverage was still not available in Province No. 1 and Eastern region. But with the current testing, we can say they will launch their mobile network soon in Biratnagar.

As known, Smart Telecom’s both 2G and 4G network is available in Biratnagar. Md Tipu from Friends communication managed to test the Speed of Smart 4G in Biratnagar, who also informed us of the network availability. According to him, the Smart 4G network is consistent in the Biratnagar City area. As there were not many subscribers in Smart, people can do nice Facebook browsing with 2G as well.

As of now, Smart Telecom is installing 20 Base station towers in Biratnagar. They will gradually test and operate all of the towers in the city. They will also take some time to make it stable and launch it officially later. After the availability of mobile network, the SIM card will also be available there, with the presence of SIM card dealers.

Currently, Smart 4G network is only available in Kathmandu valley and Pokhara city. Like Biratnagar, Smart Telecom may be installing telecom towers in other metro cities like Birgunj, Dharan, Bharatpur, Butwal and more.

Smart 4G speed in Biratnagar

When Smart Telecom first started their 4G network in Kathmandu, the maximum 4G speed was around 70 Mbps download. As per the info, Smart 4G speed was found to be consistent and the speed came around 42 Mbps download. The speed of 4G always depends on the signal power received in your handset, the time of usage & no of the subscriber using 4G in that particular tower.

Here is the snapshot of 4G speed in Biratnagar.

If you are living in Biratnagar and other cities of Province 1 like Itahari, Dharan, Jhapa, you can check for the availability of Smart mobile network there. And if you have Smart SIM available with you, you can test the speed in there and send us the snapshot. Do feedback in the comment below.
