Nepal Telecom changed the way of providing the balance in their prepaid SIM card for some time. Earlier a customer used to get a Rs 50 main balance when they buy a new prepaid SIM at Rs 90. Now they have provided additional voice, SMS, and data packs while reducing the main balance.
Nepal Telecom now uses the same balance system for both GSM and CDMA prepaid SIM cards.

Ntc Prepaid SIM Service packs
The services that come with a new prepaid SIM card are 40 minutes of talk time, 60 MB of data, and 20 SMS. The talk time and SMS number can be used to call, or text the Ntc number only, that is an on-net package. Similarly, they have reduced the main balance from Rs 50 to Rs 10, by providing the above services.

The price of a new prepaid SIM card is Rs 90. The above package will come even if the SIM card is provided for free with their promotional offer.
Let’s compare the previous main balance with the service pack in the new SIM. The worth of the service pack (that is valid for a day) as
- 40 minutes talk time = Rs 25
- 60 MB data = Rs 10
- 20 SMS = Rs 5
But as the validity of those service packs is a month, it obviously has a better value than that of the previous main balance of Rs 50. Not forgetting the Rs 10 main balance, that can be used for the Pay as you go (PayG) call, SMS to any network, or use data.
They have not changed the price of the SIM card as the worth of the services is equivalent to that of before.
Ntc has been providing free SIM cards to students with similar service packages for six months. Now, the same packages are introduced to the regular prepaid SIM card but for a month period only.
If the above package and balance are finished, you need to recharge your phone. Read more on Ntc recharge information.
