Design and Display

Taking off with the design of the new Apple MacBook Pro, it comes with almost the same design as its predecessor. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is just 1.56cm thick and weighs just 1.4 Kg. It also retains the Touch Bar on the top of the keyboard, a feature found removed on 14-inch & 16-inch models.

The new Apple MacBook Pro M2 features a 13.3-inch diagonal LED-backlit display with IPS technology. It also has a 2560 x 1600 pixels native resolution at 227 pixels per inch, 500 nits peak brightness, and more. The display also offers P3 wide color gamut support, True Tone technology, and supports millions of colours, etc.

Performance

Under the hood, the new MacBook Pro comes equipped with a new Apple M2 Chip. The chip is built on the second-generation 5nm process as the M1 chip. It comes with up to 8 CPU cores, up to 10 GPU cores, and a 16‑core Neural Engine. Apple claims to provide an 18% faster CPU, a 35% more powerful GPU, and a 40% faster Neural Engine. It can now perform more than 15.8 trillion operations per second.

Talking about memory configuration, it comes with 8GB of RAM on the base variant and is configurable up to 24GB. Likewise, Storage starts at 256GB of SSD on the base variant and goes up to 2TB SSD.

Camera

Talking about the camera, Apple MacBook Pro M2 comes with a 720p FaceTime HD camera at the top of the screen. It also features an advanced image signal processor with computational video.

Battery And Other specs

Talking about the battery prowess of the device, the Apple MacBook Pro M2 packs a 58.2-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery. They also come with 67W USB-C Power Adapter. Apple claims that it offers up to 20 hours of Apple TV app movie playback and up to 17 hours of wireless web.

Talking about the connectivity of the device, it includes a WiFi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Bluetooth 5.0, etc. Sadly, there’s no support for a MagSafe charger. Instead, we get two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports for both charging and peripherals.
