Here’s what we are expecting at the WWDC 2023.

AR/VR  Headset

Apple is expected to unveil its long-anticipated AR/VR headset at WWDC 2023. Its launch on June 5 means developers will have time enough to design apps when the device goes commercial later in 2023.

The new unnamed yet headset could come with a number of features we have listed below:

  • AR/VR with the ability to switch modes
  • An external battery pack that is worn at the waist.
  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • 4K micro-OLED displays.
  • Iris scanning for authentication.

15-inch MacBook Air

Among the hardware, Apple could also announce a 15-inch MacBook Air for buyers who would want a non-Pro machine. It could come with M2 chips as M3 is still too early to expect for powering the devices. Leakster Ming-Chi Kuo says the new MacBook Air series will use M2 and M2 Pro chips but the idea is debated. Some outlets claim the gadgets will feature new M3 chips.

iOS 17 and other software versions

Apple has announced that it will launch a next-generation version of its Operating System across its range of products. This includes iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, macOS Ventura 14, watchOS 10, and xrOS if AR/VR headset is introduced. Recently launched iOS16.4 is the last update rolled out for the iOS 16 OS for iPhones. iOS 17

Of all the iOS 17 will again be the most-talked software. As per the rumors, the iOS 17 is going to bring in the “most requested features” by users. But there is no indication of what they could and there doesn’t seem to be a major feature integration either. However, iPhone users could expect some quality improvements with the next update.

The iOS 17 will have support for the AR/VR headset, and sideloading apps in European markets among other features.

We will bring more updates right here on this page when the Apple WWDC 2023 unfolds at Apple Park starting at 10:45 PM Nepal on June 05, 2023.
