Hamro Patro registered in India: Will soon launch jyotish, gift, telehealth for Indian Smartphone users

The hugely popular Nepali smartphone app Hamro Patro will soon start providing services in India as well. The company’s chairperson Rudra Raj Pandey shared via a post on Facebook that Hamro Patro has been registered in India as Hamro Patro India Private Limited on July 12, 2023.

Mr. Pandey also shared that soon, the Hamro Patro app will provide its highly popular Jyotish (astrology), as well as gift and telehealth services to Indian smartphone users.

“Hamro Patro India is registered. We will be launching our “Jyotish”, gift and telehealth services in India within the next few weeks,” Mr. Pandey wrote. He also stressed that “India is a huge market for our services.”

The company chief also uploaded a certificate of registration on his social media account. The official document shows that Hamro Patro registration conforms to the sub-section (2) of section 7 and sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2023) and rule 18 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014.

Hamro Patro’s launch in India is a major leap for the thriving company. It’s one of the most popular Nepali apps and is fairly a super app. Backed by a gamut of features and its ability to continuously integrate new benchmark services, it’s of great value to smartphone users.

Hamro Patro also features an in-app digital wallet service “Hamro Pay” which provides utility payments, split bills, etc.

Hamro Patro app will soon provide its popular services in its new market. The company’s chair said that the company will first launch Jyotish, gift, and telehealth services to Indian users. He hasn’t disclosed the exact timeframe for the rollout of the services though. Although, he did say the first phase services would be available in the next couple of weeks.

As of now, Hamro Patro has received 15 million download counts, a record for a Nepali smartphone app, and boasts 18 lakh daily active users. In the meantime, over 1 crore, 20 lakh users use Hamro Patro services a month in Nepal as per the company.
