HMD Crest Max 5G launched in Nepal, an affordable 5G set!

Teletalk Pvt. Ltd. has launched the HMD Crest Max 5G smartphone in Nepal. It is another pocket-friendly 5G phone from the company with some exciting features. Some of its best-selling points include a 64 MP camera, a 6.67-inch OLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery, among others.

The phone seems to build on the HMD Crest 5G and upgrades them for buyers who want higher specs. So, it attracts quite an attention from smartphone buyers in Nepal. Commenting on the launch of the phone, Ravi Kunwar, VP, India & APAC, HMD, stated: “With the launch of HMD Crest Max 5G, we’re not just introducing our first smartphone, we’re ushering in a new era of mobile technology that prioritizes creativity, sustainability, and user experience. Design and Display

HMD Crest Max 5G design

HMD Crest Max 5G follows a simple yet attractive design path. It’s mostly beautified by its camera module on the back, while the back features a dual-tone color. The corners are slightly rounded, which provides a good grip. You should know that the phone’s display, back cover, battery, and charging port are capable of repair-it-yourself. It weighs 205 grams.

In terms of the display, it has an OLED screen of 6.67 inches with an HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display offers an 85.8% screen-to-body ratio, which means a sizeable screen space. Likewise, the screen comes with a 395 ppi density, so it ensures sharp and detailed visuals.

Performance

HMD Crest Max 5G is powered by a Unisoc T760 chipset, which supports 5G connectivity. The processor has eight cores with up to 2.2 GHz clock speed. It is paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. Further, the phone features 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. On the software front, the device runs on Android 14 OS.

Camera

The phone’s camera unit is led by the 64 MP main camera on the back. It is accompanied by a 5 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. Together, they comprise a versatile photography potential. The front features a massive 50 MP selfie camera, which takes photos and videos with a high volume of pixels to ensure sharpness and quality. Though it won’t compare with the optics power of the flagship phones, it should still do a decent job in taking pictures and videos for its price point.

Battery and Charging

One of the best features of HMD Crest Max 5G is its 5,000mAh battery, which also comes along with a 33W fast-charging support. Together, they make for an efficient power system of the phone, which shall offer at least one and a half days of usage on basic to moderate use.

Connectivity and Other Features

The phone supports 5G, and for wireless data, it is compatible with WiFi 5. It also comes with Bluetooth, USB Type-C, GPS, and other standard Android sensors. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
