Summary✨
  • Ncell offers three tourist eSIM plans (Sprinter, Explorer, Voyager) with varying validity periods (7, 14, and 28 days).
  • All plans include unlimited data (with FUP limits on Sprinter and Explorer) and voice calls; Voyager has no data cap.
  • eSIMs are available at Tribhuvan International Airport, authorized retailers, and online; passport required for activation.

Nepal’s leading telecom operator, Ncell, provides tourist SIM plans at affordable rates with unlimited data and voice calls. For anyone who comes to explore Nepal and needs a cellular service, Ncell provides a very efficient and reliable service for connectivity.

The private telco’s tourist packs come in three packages- Sprinter, Explorer, and Voyage, and offer unlimited data, voice, with different validity. We have more below. The data comes via Ncell’s Carrier-Aggregated 4G sites, so it’s fast and consistent, helping tourists to stay connected.

The users get high-speed mobile data service and voice, too. Also, since users can use VoLTE on the telco’s 4G network, they can enjoy HD phone calls and surf the internet at the same time.

Tourists can buy a SIM in Nepal at the airport upon their arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). It’s that convenient. Let’s get you more information on Ncell’s eSIM plans for tourists.

Ncell tourist eSIM packages

Ncell’s unlimited tourist eSIM plan comes in three packages- Sprinter, Explorer, and Voyager. The Sprinter plan is priced at USD 4.3 (Rs 595), and the mid-tier Explorer plan price is USD 7.2 (Rs 995). The premium package, Voyager, costs USD 14.4 (Rs 1,995). Talking of the validity, the Sprinter, Explorer, and Voyager plans are valid for 7 days, 14 days, and 28 days, respectively.

Ncell tourist eSIM Packs PlanPrice (USD & Nepali)Validity
Sprinter$ 4.3 (Rs 595)7 days
Explorer$ 7.2 (Rs 995)14 days
Voyager$ 14.4 (Rs 1,995)28 days

Ncell is providing unlimited data in all three packages. However, there is a speed limit with a fair usage policy (FUP). In the Sprinter plan and Explorer plans, data speed reduces after 10 GB and 25 GB of use. But the Voyager plan is exempt from the data cap.

Benefits of using Ncell SIM tourist plan:

  • Nationwide coverage: Tourists with the Ncell eSIM tourist plan can benefit from Ncell’s nationwide 4G coverage. Wherever they go, it’s highly possible to get the telco’s network coverage. • Unlimited voice and data: Tourists with Ncell eSIM get unlimited on-net voice and data service. Subscribers can continue to use the internet after the plan expires at a reduced speed. While the Voyager plan comes with no such restriction at all. Likewise, there’s no bar as such on phone calls. Throughout the subscription’s validity, users can call any Ncell number and call without tariff worries.
  • 4G data: Another good aspect of the plan is that, as a tourist, you get reliable 4G service from Ncell. The telco provides high-speed mobile broadband, which enables video calling, faster browsing, and downloads. The 4G network lets tourists post their photos, videos, and other content and engage with their family, friends, and followers. Don’t forget that you can use Ncell VoLTE to enjoy data and voice services as well.
  • Easy SIM activation: Tourist can easily activate Ncell eSIM with their passport for verification. This saves time and brings convenience to the tourists. They can fill out some form, get an eSIM on their device, and get it to work within a few minutes.
  • No extra charges on data: Ncell says that it won’t charge additional Pay As You Go (PayG) fees on its data service for tourist eSIM subscribers. You pay once and get the promised services in your subscription. There are no hidden costs involved.
  • Unlimited access to the Ncell app: Subscribers can still access the Ncell app after the tourist plan’s expiration. It’s super convenient when you need to top up or avail of some other services. You are never out of Ncell’s customer service with a tourist eSIM subscription.
