Netflix price in Nepal subscription packages and cost 2026

Netflix has slashed its subscription price in Nepal, including in over 30 countries, making it cheaper on basic to premium plans. The popular video streaming platform decreased its charges as it seeks to improve its base in new regions while home markets saturate. Find out the Netflix subscription plans and how you can buy one in Nepal below in 2026.

The company slashed subscription rates in Asia, the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South America. However, the list doesn’t include the US and the UK.

The move comes amidst less-than-inspiring subscriber numbers, which could undermine its prospects in the increasingly competitive OTT industry. The company maintained that it resorted to reducing costs due to the cost-of-living crisis and stiff competition.

In recent months, the company has been implementing new measures to draw users, including cheaper subscription plans with ads. Here are some best video streaming apps in Nepal.

“We’re always exploring ways to improve our members’ experience,” a Netflix spokesperson said. “We can confirm that we are updating the pricing of our plans in certain countries,” he added.

The cheapest Netflix plan, ‘Mobile,’ costs only Rs 396 in Nepal, which has decreased by Rs 132.4 from the previous cost of Rs 528.4. The plan allows you to stream Netflix on a phone and tablet at 480p resolution. Remarkably, the biggest price drop is seen in the Basic plan, in which the company has slashed the cost by Rs 529.9 from the previous rate of Rs 1058.3. With this plan, you can watch your favorite movies, documentaries, and shows at Rs 528.4 on your phone, tablet, computer, or TV at a decent 720p HD-ready resolution. Both Basic and Mobile plans allow you to watch Netflix on a separate device.

Likewise, the Standard plan now costs Rs 1058.3 from the previous cost of Rs 1,323.2. If you want to watch the content in full HD (1080p) on any device, it’s ideal for you. The standard plan lets you watch Netflix on two different devices in the same family.
