Ntc (Nepal Telecom) has said it will continue providing services on public holidays.

Releasing a notice, the carrier said it will continue providing services on Jestha 1 and 2.

The government of Nepal has implemented a 2-days holiday system in Nepal from this year. That means every Saturday and Sunday, services will shut down. Jestha 1 falls on Sunday the following day is a public holiday marking the Bauddha Jayanti. But the carrier has announced it will continue providing services on those successive holidays.

In a notice, the telco said, it will offer services relating to PSTN landline, ADSL, FTTH, and GSM on Jestha 1 and 2. Besides, payment for GSM, SIM card distribution, change, and upgrades will continue at the company’s branches.

The notice states that its telecom offices in Sundhara, Naksaal, Chabahil, Hattigauda, Patan, Chhauni, and Gongabu will remain open. In addition, offices in Banepa, Hetauda, Tandi, and Bharatpur will also open for services to its customers.

The NTC counters will remain open from 10 am to 3 pm.

Service on holidays, Why does this matter?

Many services of Ntc are available online. Users can recharge their SIM cards, and get information about the company’s services and charges, among many others. But still changing or upgrading the SIM cards, changing the registration name, and registering for service requires a visit to an office.

So if the telco opens its office even on public holidays, it will add a tremendous commitment of service to its customers and reflects its dedication. We hope such an initiative sustains along.
