The brand has been far more focused on budget phones; however, with this flagship model launch plan, it’s revising its strategy in the country. Talking of its riches, it runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset while also rocking a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, among others. Here, we take a closer look at the phone’s features, specs, and availability. We are so excited.
Realme GT 8 Pro Overview
Design and Display
The realme GT 8 Pro sports an iconic design headed by its futuristic circular camera island on the back. The corners are round, and the thickness stands at a respectable 8.2 mm. The phone’s frame is made of aluminum alloy, while the back comes in two options: fiber-reinforced plastic, silicone polymer, or eco leather. The device comes with IP68/IP69 certification for protection from water jets and dust.

The phone’s device comprises a 6.79-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The bigger stunner here is the 7000 nits of peak brightness, which even the top flagship phones can’t match. Its 2K HyperGlow resolution of 1440 x 3136 pixels produces stunning visuals on screen, which makes content consumption a remarkable experience. The other realme phone, realme 15 Pro 5G, has up to 6500 nits of peak brightness. So, we are looking at an even greater number here.
Performance and Storage
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the best there is on Android at the moment. It possesses 2 prime cores at 4.6 GHz and 6 performance cores at 3.62 GHz, keeping every task blazing fast and smooth. Paired with it is an Adreno 840 GPU for gaming and graphics stuff. The phone ships with 12 and 16 GB of RAM, and storage starts at 256 GB and goes up to 1 TB. The flagship phone boots on Realme UI 7.0 baked on Android 16.
Camera

Realme GT 8 Pro boasts a strong camera portfolio. It’s got a 50 MP main wide camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide unit, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens co-developed with Ricoh GR with 3X optical zooming capacity. The phone supports 8K video recording at 30 fps. Likewise, on the front is a 32 MP camera, which takes crisp selfies and unlocks 4K video as well.
Battery, Connectivity, and Other Features

Realme GT8 Pro boasts a 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging. The company claims that it can be charged up to 50% in just under 15 minutes and 100% in 43 minutes. The phone also supports 50W wireless charging, 10W wireless reverse, and 5W reverse wired charging.
For connectivity, it is compatible with WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and has an infrared port too. The only thing here is that it comes with USB Type-C 2.0, not a newer generation version. Anyway, it’s not a major dealbreaker.
