The brand had recently launched the Redmi Note 9 in Nepal from its popular note 9 series. They finally launched an entry-level Redmi 9 smartphone in the Nepalese market. Redmi 9 was launched a month back in the European market and China. It arrives with some impressive and attractive features for an entry-level segment. Redmi 9 is the successor to the last year’s Redmi 8. It arrives with many upgrades and tweaks over its predecessor. Redmi 9 is the first device in all the number series to feature an FHD+ display and a quad-camera setup. Redmi 9 has a very classy and modern design. It comes with a polycarbonate (plastic) body along with a matte finish. It has a circular camera design instead of a square camera design. The brand has touted that the smartphone has the best display on the series.
Redmi 9 sports a large 6.53-inch Full HD+ Dot Drop display along with a 2340×1080 pixel resolutions and waterdrop notch that houses a selfie camera. The screen comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9, 89.83% of a screen-to-body ratio, 70% NTSC color gamut, and 394 PPI.
It also has screen brightness of up to 400 nits and comes with a Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone also has a face unlock and a fingerprint reader at the rear. The smartphone provides an immersive viewing experience to the users.
Talking about the optical features, the phone arrives with a massive upgrade compared to its predecessor (Redmi 8). It is the first Redmi device to come with a quad AI camera. Redmi 9 is priced Rs. 16,999 for the base variant (3GB/32GB) in Nepal and it will be made available for purchase across all 1800+ Mi offline stores and Sastodeal starting from 2nd August 2020. Redmi 9 will be coming in two different colors, like Carbon Gray, and Ocean Green.
The device will be competing with the entry-level smartphones like Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Realme Narzo 10, Moto G8 Power Lite, etc. The phone will surely find a nice place in the market as it arrives with some exciting & impressive features.

The specs and features of both smartphones are pretty identical to each other. Both the devices have the same display size, i.e. 6.53-inch with the same screen resolutions. They come with similar battery features. The distinctive features between the two smartphones are its optical features.
Redmi 9 looses to Note 9 in the camera department as Note 9 comes with a 48MP primary camera compared to that of 13MP. Another difference between the two phones is their chipset, as Note 9 boasts a powerful MediaTek HelioG85, whereas the Helio G80 processor powers Redmi 9.
If you are not much interested in the optics of the device. It’ll be best for you to get your hands on Redmi 9 with similar specs and features as Redmi Note 9 at a much lower price. If you want superior optics & hardware, you should go with Redmi Note 9 even though it is a bit pricy.
