Design and Display
The Redmi Watch 5 Active comes 49.1 mm in height 40.4 mm in width, and 11.4 mm in thickness and weighs a comfortable 42.2 grams. The frames of the watch are composed of a matte finish which offers it a premium and smoother look and feel. Likewise, the body is made of zinc alloy. It’s IPX8 certified meaning protection from water. You get the sensor underneath its body as on all smartwatches and there’s a power button on the left.
It’s got a 2-inch LCD display in a square screen design and boasts a screen-to-body ratio of over 70% which gives solid viewing for the content on the screen. You get the watch in two color variants- Midnight Black and Matte Silver. The watch’s minimalistic design adds to its elegance and classy feel.

Calling and other features
The watch lets you respond to calls via Bluetooth. Xiaomi has added dual-mic noise cancellation (ENC) and 80 cm direction audio pickup features in it for improved call quality. You get an extended call range with wider coverage and clearer communication with it.
Furthermore, the wearable lets you track 140+ workout modes such as walking, running, rowing, jumping rope, etc. It can automatically detect your activities too. In particular, the watch tracks your heart rate, sleep pattern, calories burned, steps, blood oxygen, etc.
Even better, the watch diligently tracks your all-day stress and generates a vitality score and other health metrics to help you improve your daily health. Do note that you need to enable the auto-detect feature manually. In addition, the watch comes with music, weather, tasks, a flashlight, a camera, and other features. Battery and connectivity
The Redmi Watch 5 Active comes with a 470mAh battery which provides 18 days of life per single full charge. This basically rids you of having to frequently charge the gadget. It’s very handy when you are planning a long trip or forgot the charger while on your way out. Even if you use it heavily, the watch remains with juice for up to 12 days.
The device is equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and ships with HyperOS. You can connect it with smartphones running Android 6.0 and iOS 12.0 and above. Likewise, you get a built-in Alexa so you can give it voice commands to operate various tasks.
