Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Gets Heavy Price Cut In Nepal

Though the market is already dominated by Samsung A-Series and M-Series and now, the company is also focusing on F-Series. Samsung Nepal had launched Galaxy F22 earlier this year and now, Samsung Galaxy F42 has arrived in Nepal. Samsung has dropped the price of the Galaxy F42 5G heavily in Nepal. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Overview

Sad but true, most of the Samsung mid-range devices share the same design and some too have the same specs. This new Galaxy F42 5G is based on Galaxy A22 5G means it has the same design and minor changes in specs.

Design/Display

Not a new design as this new Galaxy F42 5G reminds us of existing Galaxy M or A-Series smartphones. It has a textured back finish with a square-shaped camera bump at the top-left corner. On the front, this device has a water-drop notch which is disappointing as we wish it has included a punch-hole cutout for smartphones costing more than Rs. 30K in Nepal. 

It comes in a 6.6-inches TFT LCD display with the support of 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. This display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 399 PPI density but most importantly, it has a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by glass but a variant of Gorilla Glass is not specified. 

Performance

The popularity of Dimensity chipset is growing especially in mid-range smartphones and Galaxy F42 5G is no exception. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G. Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is coupled with the chipset for handling graphics of the smartphone. Onto the memory, it has 6/8GB RAM variants and storage of 128GB. The storage can be expandable via a dedicated MicroSD slot. It is running on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 as the User Interface of the device. 

Camera

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G flaunts a triple rear camera fitted inside the square camera bump with the corner occupied by an LED flash. The rear camera is led by a 64 MP Primary Wide lens and supported by a 5MP ultrawide lens with 115˚ FOV and a 2MP Depth Sensor. On the front, it has a single 8MP Selfie camera. Both cameras can record video at 1080@30fps.

The smartphone arrives with a non-removable Li-Po 5000mAh battery and gets support from 15W fast charging as well as a USB Type-C 2.0 port. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with other sensors as an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass. Only two colors are available to choose from Blue and Black.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G costs only Rs. 31,999 for the base variant and Rs. 34,999 for 8GB/128GB variant. It is available for purchase all over Nepal across authorized Samsung stores and retail shops.
