The phone is the premium model in the prestigious Galaxy S25 Series and comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite, 6.9-inch AMOLED 2x display, 200 MP main camera, a new array of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features, etc. The phone is the best Samsung has to offer in terms of specs, performance, and features, and here we see things in detail including its expected price in Nepal. Let’s start.
NOTE: The latest Galaxy S25 Series consists of Samsung Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Edge (just teased for now), and the S25 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Overview
Design and Display
At a glance, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is not remarkably different from its predecessor Galaxy S24 Ultra. It’s still a flat display, has titanium frames, and a premium feel as always. But the phone’s got slimmer at 162.82 x 77.65 x 8.25 mm as the S24 Ultra stood 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6 mm. It weighs 218 grams. The S Pen, a classic inheritance from the Note series is there, however, it doesn’t support Bluetooth now. The device is IP68 certified.
What’s different is that the edges have now gone around and also, the cameras look more pronounced on the back.
In terms of the display, the Galaxy S25 Ultra gets a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with 1-120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600 nits. Expect this phone to be as anti-glare as possible as the S24 Ultra. Similarly, the screen comes with a 1440 x 3120 pixel resolution and there’s a layer of Corning Gorilla Armor 2 to protect the jewel-like screen.
Performance
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship arsenal – Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 3nm silicon chip with eight cores that clock up to 4.47 GHz. It’s the best Android processor available right now and the phone should utilize it the best way to bring the best performance possible. Especially, the chipset shall help make the most of the AI features and hardware, and software optimization. The phone comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 and 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. There’s no support for external storage.
What’s also so good about this phone is that Samsung is promising it a whopping 7 years of Android OS updates. Originally, it boots on One UI 7 based on Android 15.
Camera
Samsung has continued with mostly similar camera specs on this latest flagship. It’s got a 200 MP main back camera with OIS. Then, it has a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5x optical zoom), a 10 MP secondary telephoto (3x zoom), and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. On the front, there’s a 12 MP front camera.
Compared with the S24 Ultra, the ultrawide camera on this one has been upgraded to 50 MP.
However, photography is equipped with advanced AI features that will further enhance it. Photos in low-light conditions improve with better stabilization and portrait shots get better.
Battery and Connectivity
Samsung has kept its battery capacity at 5000mAh. This might be because the chipset may provide more efficiency thanks to optimizations. Likewise, it comes with a familiar 45W fast charging and 25W wireless charging support. It also lets you reverse charge your supported devices wirelessly at 4.5W capacity.
In terms of connectivity, it comes with WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C 3.2, OTG support, etc. But there’s still no satellite communication feature. Samsung though has continued the exciting Dex feature. There’s also a sensor for the Circle to Search feature to work.
