Vianet to announce IPO soon, plans for further expansion

Leading internet and IPTV service provider Vianet Communication Limited is soon going to announce its Initial Public Offering (IPO). Having accelerated its expansion efforts, the company expects to reach more areas across the country after going public. The company has already changed its name to Vianet Communication Ltd. on the 17th of July, 2022 starting with the current Nepali fiscal year 2079/80.

The company says its IPO will reflect its remarkable changes in identity and history.

The ISP started its service in 1999 and has continuously remained at the forefront of bringing innovative and digital services to its customers.

Only the last month, Vianet marked its 23 years in operation. In its service of over two decades, the company has brought high-speed broadband, digital TV, and other world-class digital services.

Vianet is the first ISP in Nepal to launch fiber broadband called Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) in 2011. The company gets its due credit for introducing a reliable next-generation fiber system to Nepali internet users. It pioneered fiber broadband in Nepal replacing older-generation internet infrastructure and also opened up new possibilities for individuals and institutions alike.

The first to introduce IPTV too!

Similarly, in 2016, the company revolutionized viewers’ TV experience with the launch of its digital IPTV service replacing traditional cable television forever. with its IPTV service, the company brought trendy features such as Pause & Play, Videos on Demand, and Catch-up TV, etc. Recently, the company upgraded its digital TV service ViaTV to ViaTV 2.0 adding features such as pay-per-view, DVR, Picture-in-Picture mode, etc.

Vianet will expand further after its IPO

Vianet enjoys a strong foothold in the valley and the city areas thanks to its popularity and wide coverage. The company is in a phase of rapid expansion throughout the country. The ISP is a household name in almost 30 cities across Nepal. Further the company hopes to reach more cities and serve more customers in the coming days.

As a leading Internet and IPTV service provider, Vianet provides its digital solutions for both personal and professional usage.

The change of its name, the impending public offering, and the expansive efforts of the company are all indicative of the company’s long-committed efforts to serve its customers with excellence. “In a market severely lacking in publicly traded companies outside of the Banking and Finance domain, the news can become a breath of fresh air for the public,” the company says.

Vianet is one of the most profitable companies in the communications infrastructure domain in Nepal with a long and illustrious history. The company says that its phase of steady growth and its lookout for innovation is “great positives” for those looking to invest.
