Xiaomi has released Xiaomi Watch Color 2 at the Civi Series Launch Event in China on 27th September. As a part of the brand’s ecosystem, this watch is the successor to its predecessor, Xiaomi Watch Color from late 2019. The brand has already provided a bunch of amazing smart-watches at a competitive price. Being a trustable name in the wearable markets, let’s find out what this new smartwatch from Xiaomi has to cater.
Xiaomi Watch Color 2 Body & Colors
Just as the name implies, Xiaomi Watch Color 2 derives the same design language from its predecessors, Xiaomi Watch Color & Color Sports Edition. Boasting a sporty circular design, it houses a metal bezel and weighs at 36.3 grams only.
The watch body is available in three colors, black, blue, and white. Meanwhile, there are 6 varieties of straps (White, Blue, Black, Yellow, Orange & Green) to flaunt sporty design. However, the first three straps are default ones according to the package implying the watch body’s color. For the other ones, one needs to buy them separately.

Xiaomi Watch Color 2 Display
The smartwatch houses a circular AMOLED display of 1.43 inches with 326 PPI. So, sunlight readability should be pleasing, thanks to AMOLED with 326 PPI. Meanwhile, the refresh rate remains the normal 60Hz. Customization is pretty rich with over more than 200 watch faces. This has become mandatory in wearables for a fresh look every day.
Monitoring Sensors on Xiaomi Watch Color 2
It features a PPG sensor for heart rate monitoring and SpO2 for blood oxygen monitoring. SpO2 has become a very essential feature because of this pandemic era. Besides that, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, breathing training, menstrual cycle tracking are available.
Tracking Activities
Coming up on the modes section, it complies whooping 117 sport modes and 19 professional sports modes. It also incorporates a dual-frequency GNSS chip (GPD, Beidu, Glonass). Having GNSS makes location tracking possible without even carrying the smartphone during workouts. 5 ATM water-resistant is provided for protection against water damage.
Xiaomi Wear App & Xiao AI Assistant
Xiaomi Wear App works as the pairing application for both Android & iOS devices. One can also enjoy phone calls via Bluetooth. Xiao AI Virtual Assistant acts as a smart device control in this watch. Also, limited third-party apps are controllable by AI. Contactless payments can be done by NFC.

The battery in this wearable is 470 mah which is said to last for 12 days on a full charge. It can be charged fully in 2.5 hours via its magnetic charger.
Xiaomi Watch Color 2 Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Watch Color 2 retails at ¥999 (Rs.18,243 approx) in China. The company has also offered a ¥100 discount on pre-order. The sale is commencing from Sep 30th. And it is currently only available in the Chinese market.

Xiaomi has imprinted its name as the fastest growing brand in wearables, thanks to cheaper Mi Bands. Smart watches are feature rich than affordable smart bands. Xiaomi Watch Color & Watch Color Sports Edition got to the international market with various brandings; Mi Watch, Mi Watch Revolve & Mi Watch Revolve Active.
