NT to operate 3G in Nepalgunj and Dhangadi from 11th May (Sunday).

May 10th 2014: Nepal Telecom, the Government owned operator is known to operate 3G services in the selected cities of Mid western and Far western Development region. NT has been running 3G services throughout the country but the newest one with 3.5G technology  (HSPA+) option has been available only in Kathmandu till now. This is the first time when NT is providing fast internet access through 3G in the cities of MWDR and FWDR with the 5.2 Million Project (Package A of the 10 M GSM project). The 3G towers will be gradually on aired in Nepalgunj and Dhangadi from Sunday, 11th May onward. It is also known that NT is planning to operate 3G in other parts of the country like Biratnagar, Birgunj, Hetauda, Butwal and Pokhara.

What to expect with Ntc 3G?

3G Subscribers there will be able to surf fast internet with speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. Apart from Fast internet access, 3G provides you additional service of Video call at Rs 2 per minute and MMS at Rs 1.5 per one MMS (file size 200 KB).

How to subscribe Ntc 3G?

NT GSM customers (both prepaid and postpaid) can easily subscribe 3G by sending a text 3G to 1400. Customers even need to select 3G in their mobile network settings, to use 3G service.
