Living with ICT is going to hold ICT award 2018, on August 17, 2018(Bhadra 1, 2075). They organized a press meet to release the details of the award, which includes 7 awards in different categories. The online registration for the award has also started.
This is the third edition of the ICT award. Those awards in ICT award are:
- ICT Startup Award
- ICT product Award
- Pioneer Award
- Nepali Diaspora ICT Award
- ICT Entrepreneur Award
- Digital Governance Act Award
- ICT Media Award
ICT Startup Award will consider those ICT companies started within 3 years. Whereas ICT product Award will consider those ICT products launched within a year. ICT Pioneer award is for a famous person who has worked for more than 15 years in ICT sector. Similarly, Nepali Diaspora Award will select a Nepali origin person who even remaining outside of Nepal, have a significant contribution to Nepali technology sector.
ICT entrepreneurs award, added from this year, is for an entrepreneur who worked as a founder of an ICT company from 5 years.
Digital Governance award is for that outstanding government organization who has been involved in promoting, using and enabling digital governance through their offices.
ICT Media Award is for journalists working in the ICT domain from at least 3 years.
About ICT Award
The Living with ICT Awards Event Program entitled “ICT Award 2018” to be organized by IC Tech Media Pvt. Ltd on August 17, 2018, envisions rewarding the National Heroes of IT Sectors in Nepal. ICT Award will also give a token of appreciation to people that have devoted their lives to the IT sector in Nepal.
The Event will have smaller events within the event like new product launches; documentaries on the stories of the top 3 selected individuals in each category and a LIVE Music and Entertainment programme.
How to nominate/vote for ICT Award?
To participate in the ICT award, you can either nominate yourself or get nominated/voted from others. The online registration has started from Ashar 1 till Ashar 16, 2075. Fulfilling their specific norms, they can register themselves from their official website www.ictaward.org and ICT award app.
- For the specific category, you can click APPLY now from website OR App.
- After that, a new form will appear.
- Then, you need to fill up the application form in details.
The nomination is now open for the following categories. To nominate a best person or organization of technology sector in Nepal, Click on the APPLY NOW button below. Registration open from 1st Asar 2075 (15th June 2018) to 16th Asar 2075(30th June 2018). This is the first time online registration has been made possible through their mobile app.
