Apple launches three new iPhones with the moniker iPhone 11, namely iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max here in Nepal. The price of iPhone 11 in Nepal starts from Rs 110,000. The phone was launched in September with the Apple special event held at the Steve Jobs theater. Apple also announced a new iPad, 5th generation Apple Watch, Apple TV+ streaming app and Apple Arcade (for Gaming) in the event. The new iPad has a larger screen of 10.2 inches, new iPadOS, and a better screen, powered by A10 Fusion SoC. The Apple Pencil and the Smart keyboard adds value to the new iPad. Similarly, the Apple watch series 5 brings always-on display with the lowest frequency display of 1 Hz which saves a lot of power. They also brought the compass, all new faces, bands in the new Apple watch. iPhone 11

iPhone 11 the direct successor to last year’s iPhone XR, is a 6.1 inch LCD display which they call Liquid Retina of resolution 1,792×828 pixels, 326 PPI.  The iPhone 11 is powered by Apple’s new A13 Bionic Chip which as per Apple, is the fast CPU and GPU in a phone.

The phone has a dual rear camera setup with 12 MP, f/1.8, OIS main camera of 26 mm focal length and 12 MP, f/2.4 ultra-wide sensor of 120-degree viewing, 13mm focal length. The deep fusion feature enabled by Machine learning in the new bionic processor, enhances the image processing it pixel by pixel for better, sharp and low noise shots. The camera UI while being on wide mode shows the out of frame picture and allows you to take at different focal lengths.

Apple has also added Smart HDR, Night mode, better portrait and high-key light mono effect in the camera of iPhone 11. In the camera UI, you can take the video directly by long-pressing the shutter. The video support in the phone is 4K @ 60 fps. There is a 12 MP selfie camera which supports slow-mo at 120 fps, dubbed as “slofies.

Regarding the battery capacity, Apple says they have enhanced battery efficiency to support 1 more hour of juice than the iPhone XR. So, the phone juice lasts for a longer period and has the same 5W charging inside the box.

The phone is IP68 certified Water and dust resistant and supports WiFi 6. There are six different colors of the iPhone 11 namely: black, yellow, green, white, purple and red. Similarly, there are three different storage versions: 64/128 and 256GB.

iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max

There are two Pro versions of the iPhone 11, the term Pro means better display and a better camera (triple rear camera setup). One of them is the small-sized iPhone 11 Pro, which has a 5.8 inch OLED Super Retina XDR display with 2,436×1,125 pixels resolution, 458 PPI. While the other iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5 inches OLED display of same specs and resolution. The screen has a good brightness level (1200 nits) and known to be power efficient. The same Apple A13 Bionic processor powers the iPhone 11 Pro phones but they have revamped the camera system here.

The triple camera system in the back of the phone has a triangular alignment which is quite different from the usual Vertical and Horizontal one. Dual SIM

All of the phones in the iPhone 11 series are dual SIM with one physical SIM slot and another eSIM that can be programmable. Such kind of eSIM platforms is now available in selected countries and carriers only. But as known, it seems to be the future of SIM cards, which reduces the phone size.
