Samsung Nepal has officially launched one of the most awaited lower mid-range phones – Galaxy A20s in Nepal. Galaxy A20s is the newer version of the already popular Galaxy A20 here in Nepal. The handset comes at an even more affordable price as compared to its predecessor A20. The single variant of 4/64GB is launched in Nepal and is available for purchase. The price of Galaxy A20s in Nepal is Rs. 23,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
As Samsung announced earlier that the Galaxy A20s will be more affordable and economic, the handset doesn’t feature an AMOLED screen and this is one of the downsides of the phone. Although, being an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, the phone features an IPS HD+ screen with a resolution of 720×1560 pixels.
Talking about the design, the device looks gorgeous with its 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 82% screen to body ratio. The Infinity V display with a teardrop notch holds an 8MP front-facing camera for the selfies. The plastic build which is almost similar to the Galaxy A50 is one of the major money-saving features on the phone.
There is a triple camera at the back with a slightly protruding triple-camera module that holds a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a second 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 5-megapixel depth sensor camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.
The cameras are arranged vertically with flash at the bottom which is almost similar to that of Galaxy A50. The camera on the phone takes decent pictures during daylight but struggles slightly at low-lights. The addition of depth sensor makes the portrait shot look even more beautiful and realistic.
Samsung Galaxy A20s is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Although there are two variants of the device – 3/32GB and 4/46GB, only the higher model is available in Nepal at the moment. This handset runs on Samsung One UI 1.0 on top of Android 9 Pie which is scheduled to get an update very soon.
While it comes to the battery, the phone is fueled by a 4000mAh non-removable battery which supports proprietary fast charging of 15W.
There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for the security and support for face recognition makes the phone even more secured. The inclusion of Type-C port will surely become convenient using this device. The Samsung Galaxy A20s is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) phone that supports dual Nano-SIM cards.
The phone also supports 4G LTE network of all operators in band 3 and also that of band 20 for Ntc 4G. Read Things to consider while buying a 4G phone in Nepal.
