Himalaya Airlines signed Strategic Cooperation MOU with Huawei

Technology and advancement have become a very coherent word in today’s generation. Here, computing power has become a new source of productivity and data are the new raw materials. Also, cloud+AI+5G are the new tools of production. And it is vibrant that, cloud service has become the new norm and acting as a new digital infrastructure that accelerates the momentum of digital transformation. 

So, following the well-advanced trend Himalaya Airlines and Huawei allegedly signed a strategic cooperation Memorandum of Understanding in Huawei Technologies Nepal. This was a contract of partnership to build up the strategic cooperation relationship between the two companies.

The contract between Himalaya Airlines and Huawei

Himalaya Airlines, one of the famous Nepali Airlines which is in a key phase of digital transformation. So, they teamed up with Huawei to accelerate their digital transformation. Also, they point to establish the company to a new stage of rapid development and work closely together with Huawei local team in Nepal. They established this relationship with Huawei, to contribute to Nepal civil aviation industry with advanced digital technology.

The contract was signed in a very civil way, by Mr. Zhou Enyong, CEO of Himalaya Airlines and Mr. Deng Shuigen, CEO of Huawei Technologies Nepal signed the MOU. Mr. Zhang Fan, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal,Mr. Wang Ping, Deputy Director-General – Department of Commerce of Tibet Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China, Mr. Zhou Danjin, president of Huawei Asian Pacific Region Cloud & AI Business. Also, other representatives of Enterprises in Nepal also made an appearance as witnesses by using Huawei’s online video conference system.

Moreover, Huawei has stated that its cloud and AI technology will help the Himalaya Airlines to digitalize management & financial system. It will also help to improve the internal efficiency of the company. With the dedication of both the Huawei Cloud service team and Huawei Nepal local support team, the digital transformation of Himalaya Airlines will be improved and the company will be more competitive in the Nepal market.

This creates a great partnership that will allow a better and more advanced place for future aviators. Furthermore, Huawei has also said to provide cloud services to Himalaya Airlines as the initial part of two companies` strategic cooperation. 

Some Insights:

HUAWEI CLOUD is manufactured with high performance and high-reliability equipment which is installed with Artificial Intelligent chipset. It has the most secure data security and user privacy compliance. This will greatly benefit the government, enterprise, and carrier in digital transformation as well. 

Also, it is evident from the recent studies of Nepal’s Enterprise IT Services, that 74% of 11 industries (media, entertainment, airlines, general retail, e-commerce, and etc.) have chosen cloud service as the tool to digitalize their IT service.  Cloud services reduce high equipment investment. And to avoid complicated maintenance and ensure service reliability.

So, Huawei Nepal has established a Cloud&AI local team which provides related services dedicatedly only for local government, enterprises, and carriers. With the global nodes coverage and ecosystems, partners or developers can leverage services on HUAWEI CLOUD plus the likes of AI, 5G, and big data to support intelligent applications. HUAWEI CLOUD offers more than 200 cloud services with more than 190 specific industry solutions. They are from financial services, E-commerce, logistics, healthcare, education and etc.

Hence, this great initiative can prove to be of huge benefit for both company and the country in a long-term vision as well.
