Pathao Nepal launches helicopter booking, trip to Muktinath, EBC

Pathao Nepal has started a helicopter booking service on its mobile app. The company has likened the new service to a start to “becoming a super app”. The ride-hailing platform calls the service “Pathao Heli” and has launched it in collaboration with Simrik Airlines.

The company initially started as a ride-sharing venture in Nepal. Now, it has expanded into Pathao Heli through travel parcels, food delivery, and home services.

How to book helicopter ride on Pathao?

There are two ways to book a helicopter ride on Pathao. They are:

  • Via the Pathao app
  • Via Pathao Heli’s website pathaoheli.com.

The company says that customers can book a heli ride for religious, natural, and tourist destinations, including Muktinath, Gosaikunda, Sagarmatha Base Camp, and Annapurna Base Camp. Up to four or five people can travel in a helicopter at a time, making a possible trip for family and friends.

“Our goal is to grow Nepal’s digital economy by 10 times. We are moving forward by connecting mobility, parcel delivery, food delivery, and e-commerce on a single platform,” said Yashu Thakali, Managing Director of Pathao Nepal.

Pathao says that it has launched the Heli booking service to promote Nepal Tourism Year 2085, which has been announced by the Nepal government.

The flagship service came into operation a few days after Uber launch in Nepal. The ride-hailing sector is only getting more competitive and customer-friendly with various types of services for customers.
