Free Fire Server Changed to Bangladesh For Nepalese Players

Free Fire is a very known game among youngsters. Developed by Garena, the game became immensely popular as it could run even on entry-level smartphones. Also coming in relatively lower size than PUBG mobile, it grossed as the most downloaded game on Google Playstore. Recently, Garena has decided to change Free Fire Server to Bangladesh for Nepalese players. Learn about it more below.

About Free Fire Server Change

Since its release, the popular BR game had its server based in India for Nepalese players. Due to a nearer location, ping was better with just a 50ms average. While PUBG had an average ping of 100ms with Indonesian server allocated for Nepal in the past. Just some time ago, the Indian government allegedly banned Freefire along with a few other Chinese apps. The game was removed from Google Playstore and Apple Appstore aftermath. Still, players could continue playing the game.

Now the developers have sent an in-game message regarding the change in the Free Fire server to Bangladesh for Nepalese players. This has to do with the uncertainty of the Indian government to unban the game again. So, this server changing for Nepalese players has some prospects for eSports players. Free Fire players have been longing for a dedicated Nepal server for a while now like its counterpart, PUBG Mobile. Bangladesh server should work just as fine as the Indian server, regarding the proximity of the location. The ping latency should be more and less equal. And elite pass and weapon skins won’t be affected.

Also, Indian teams dominated the eSports arena over Nepalese teams due to the home server and higher number of players. Now, Nepalese teams could compete better on Bangladeshi servers. Free Fire has also been providing in-game festive rewards for players. There is some chance of getting Nepalese festival rewards as well with the server change. But it might affect matchmaking though. Bangladesh has a lesser number of players when compared to India. Another version of the game, Free Fire Max is still downloadable in India.

Then with the time being, Freefire added Team Death Match, Fatal Fate, Gun King, Bomb Squad modes, etc., and new maps like Kalahari and Purgatory. For eSports tournaments, the game had several of them in India with handsome prize pools.

With the rapid rise in the number of mobile gamers, Free Fire, PUBG mobile, and CODM have organized numerous eSports events. In the Nepalese context, PUBG mobile teams have earned names in the world tournament. Freefire teams are also rising while CODM teams are still in the shadow.
