Nepal Telecom (NTC) has launched its 4G mobile service in Chaklighat of Ghorahi, Dang district. The telecom company established mobile and telephone service after bringing a tower at Bakloghat, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City – 02 bringing high-speed mobile broadband and other telecom services for the users in the area.
The advanced cellular service has gone live thanks to joint efforts by Ntc and Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City. A mobile tower has been set up on Jhuledada, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, ward no. 2. The installation of the infrastructure has enabled telephone and internet services.
The newly-established telecom service brings reliable connectivity to the people in Chaklighat area, northeast of Beldamar on the Ghorahi-Lamhi road section. Prior to this, the people had no reliable service. However, now they get to enjoy high-speed voice, and data services and go online.
Ntc office chief of Ghorahi Sureshkumar Sharma said that the company has distributed prepaid SIM cards for free to promote mobile service.

Ntc 4G in Chaklighat of Ghorahi ends locals’ struggles for network
Both Ntc and Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City government have jointly invested to bring telecommunication in the area. The telecom giant spent Rs 50 lakh and the local body invested Rs 15 lakh to bring the tower into operation on Kuledada. The expenses helped bring electricity in the area.
With telephone and internet service in operation, it has ended the need to climb up the hills or reach higher places for network coverage.
Senior Divisional Engineer Yuvaraj Poudel, Head of the Infrastructure Division of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City, said that despite many geographical complexities, they have been able to overcome them and connect the people with communication services.
As a state-backed telco, Ntc focuses expanding and improving its telecom services. The company has reached full coverage of FTTH fiber network across 77 districts while 4G is also nearing blanket expansion. Due to this, the broadband penetration has improved while also narrowding the digital divide.
