Airtel network down but restoration has begun
Though the network suffered disruptions, Airtel is already at it to restore the network. Some areas have already seen the network back to function.
“Our customers from Delhi-NCR have been experiencing some voice calling issues for the past hour or so. A significant part of the issue has already been resolved, and our engineers are at work to resolve this fully. We deeply regret any inconvenience,” the company added later.
Following the wide mobile network outage, Airtel users have expressed their dissatisfaction on social media over the network outage during working hours. Some users said that following the Airtel network outage, they couldn’t place calls or use mobile internet. Some said that they saw data deduction on 4G despite being connected to a 5G network. Airtel is India’s second-largest telecom operator with 500 million customers across India. It has over 1.9 crore subscribers in Delhi alone.
Airtel network is expected to be restored in the next few hours.
But the scenario only highlights how dependent we have become on using digital services for work and connectivity. It’s almost unimaginable to go without using a mobile service in a day.
Mobile network outage has become common in Nepal in recent days but it’s not unique to Nepal only. Giant operators in the most developed countries have also experienced such outages which proves it is inevitable. That even affects millions of users at once due to various reasons. But operators need to be vigilant for such outages by using proper techniques like AI algorithms to forecast, monitor and resolve at the earliest with ideal solution.
