OPPO is working on an advanced fast-charging technology that will compete with the 300W charging solution of Redmi. As per the tipster DigitalChatStation, the system will come with a 4450mAh battery.

If it launches, the SuperVOOC charger will be the fastest fast-charging solution for smartphones alongside Redmi’s same-capacity charger.

In recent years, fast-charging technology has been a fascinating area of the smartphone industry. Manufacturers have been working on bringing out the most efficient solution to charge smartphone batteries fastest or within minutes.

There was a time when the battery was the biggest shortcoming of smartphones, but that is no more. Not just large-size batteries, fast-charging technology has changed the game entirely.

But the tech is not just about how fast it can charge a phone’s battery to the fullest. It is equally about regulating heat and current. The SuperVOOC 300W fast-charging system of OPPO phones will reportedly keep the same speed at least until the battery charge reaches 80 percent. In comparison, Redmi’s solution reaches 290W for 3 seconds only.

Fastest-charging smartphones in the world

At the moment, Realme GT 3 takes the crown for having the fastest fast-charging feature boasting a 240W charger. But, Infinix has also launched the 260W fastCharge system. Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus also supports 120W fast charging. And this could be just the start of the transition from fast to super fast charging as the industry looks to expand the ability to a surreal extent.

However, OPPO could bring the game changer with its SuperVOOC 300W fast-charging technology. Although not announced, it could launch by the end of 2023.

How fast does your phone charge to its fullest? Do you think the fast-charging capacity will become the biggest draw for smartphone buyers in the near future? Do offer your opinion in the comments section below.
