Nepal’s first radio broadcasting service Radio Nepal has unveiled its mobile app ‘Radio Nepal’ for smartphone users. Gyanendra Karki, the Minister of Communications, Information, and Technology launched the OTT app in a ceremony held at the organization’s office in Singhadurbar.
With this, the prestigious Radio Nepal will be available over the internet. The organization has brought many enjoyable features to its mobile application. Learn about its features below.

Digitized content on the go
The app allows you to tune in to digitized shows on the go.
Play Live Radio Nepal and Pradesh radios

You can tune in to the FM, read the news, and listen to a large collection of popular songs. Additionally, you can listen to many recorded radio shows. You can also enjoy listening to trending ‘shows’ under different categories such as Featured, Cultural, and Regular Shows.
The app also lets you play live radio on Nepal and Pradesh radios. Besides, it lets you add your favorite content to easily access them under the ‘Favourite’ tab.
But the app also requires you to log in to be able to enjoy all the features. As a guest user, you can only tune in to live radio and read the news. Likewise, you can also visit the official website from the app.
There are other features such as downloading shows, but it has not been made available yet.
Radio Nepal expects the app to help market its audio content and add more to its revenues. The organization started digitizing its contents in years.
Likewise, the app will help connect Nepalese living abroad to connect with Nepal. Radio Nepal has remained the main source of news and entertainment for many years. The service wants to continue its engagement with audiences through the app.

How to login into the Radio Nepal app?
- Launch the app, and tap on the three dots at the right bottom. Tap on Login
- Click on Sign up to create a new account
- Enter the details and tap on Sign Up
- You will receive an OTP code in your email
- Copy the 6 digits OTP code or manually enter them and click on Continue. Your sign-up will be complete. Now, you will be able to enjoy all the features of the Radio Nepal app.
- Tips: If you can’t see the message in your inbox, go to Spam. The mail containing the message must be there. You will receive it from ‘newitventure’, the company that built the app.
