Samsung Galaxy M04 launched in Nepal last year, has now got a price drop in 2024. The budget-centric device comes with Helio P35 chipset under the core and a 5000 mAh battery. Design and Display
Starting with the design, Samsung Galaxy A04 boasts a glass front, plastic frame, and plastic back build. On the front side, there is a V-shaped notch screen with a more significant notch at the bottom. Likewise, the volume rockers and power key rest on the right side of the frame. There is no fingerprint scanner on this smartphone.
Talking about the display, the phone boasts a 6.5-inch LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. As a budget phone, the refresh rate stays static at 60Hz. The overall design is pretty identical to its sibling, Samsung Galaxy A04, which has also got a new price in Nepal.
Performance
Under the hood, the phone house an Helio P35 chipset. This 12nm chipset from Mediatek has a configuration of Octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53). For graphics and gaming, there is PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The chip is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. With Virtual RAM Plus, the device can get an additional 4GB RAM. Further, the phone has a dedicated MicroSD card slot as well. On the software side, it boots on OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12. As mentioned, Samsung has promised to provide an Android 14 upgrade as well.

Coming to the optics, the phone sports a dual camera setup on its back. The primary camera is a 13MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. While the secondary lens is a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. Talking of videos, the main camera can shoot videos up to 720p at 30fps. Likewise, for selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP front camera.

This budget phone gets its juice from a 5000mAh battery. For charging, it gets shipped with a 10W charger which signifies no fast charging here as expected. Other connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
