Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is officially launched in Nepal. The device has finally landed in Nepal after six months of global launch due to previous import restrictions. This premium foldable device comes with a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and other multiple improvements. Design and Display
Starting with the design, the smartphone flaunts a similar foldable screen to its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, the display has become 3.1mm shorter and slimmer than the previous model. Also, it is wider now and comes with an aspect ratio of 23:9 for the outer display. It still retains the support for a stylus. The company has used a new slimmer rotational hinge mechanism on the smart foldable.
The phone boasts a 6.2-inch exterior display and a 7.6-inch interior display. The interior one is a Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz adaptive fast refresh rate & QXGA+ (2176 x 1812p) resolution. While the exterior is an HD+ 2316 x 904p Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. Further, the phone has an aluminum frame and the back panel also gets Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power key.

Performance
Under the hood, this new foldable is packing the horsepower of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset based on the 4nm architecture by TSMC. This 5G silicon brings a 10% improvement in raw performance over Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It is an Octa-Core processor with 1×3.19 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3×2.75 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4×1.80 GHz Cortex-A510 cores. The phone draws power from Adreno 730 GPU for gaming and graphics. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

It boots on Samsung’s OneUI 4.1.1 skin built on top of Android 12L. It also comes with a PC-like taskbar for quick access to apps. Some optimizations have also been done for apps like Facebook, Netflix, Microsoft Teams, Disney+, and Youtube for this foldable phone. There is also a Flex mode for working like a laptop. The company has also promised to provide 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security updates for this foldable phone.
Camera
Coming to the optics, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is sporting an improved triple camera setup on the back. The device gets a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS plus EIS support for stabilization. The second sensor is a 10MP Telephoto shooter with 3X Optical Zoom and OIS. It can also zoom up to 30X digitally. Likewise, there is a 12MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 123˚.
Video-wise, the phone can shoot up to 4K at 60fps resolution. There is also HDR10+ support for videos. And on the cover side, it flaunts a 10MP unit (f/2.2). And there is also an under-display camera with a 4MP resolution.
