Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is now available for pre-booking in Nepal. Launched on February 25, 2026, the flagship model comes with a “privacy display”, design changes in its camera module, and other improvements. It has been launched alongside Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus. We have all the highlights on S26 Ultra from the South Korean manufacturer, including its official price. Keep reading.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Overview

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra looks similar to the S25 Ultra. However, the design change is noticeable on the back camera module. The cameras are kept on a raised vertical surface. This, while not being an innovation, will help distinguish the lineup from its predecessors. It’s also got thinner at 7.9mm of thickness and is lighter at 214 grams compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The innovation is on the front. S26 Ultra comes with a privacy display, which works by hiding the screen from other people to keep personal details private and safe from misuse. Users can also decide what they want to hide from others, such as certain apps, notifications, the lock screen, etc. The panel consists of a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1440p resolution. The front panel has a protective layer of Gorilla Armor 2 and retains an anti-reflective coating to keep the screen glare-free under sunlight.

Performance and Storage

The massive beauty is Samsung’s most powerful phone yet, powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. It’s got 256/512 GB and 1 TB of storage, while RAM stands at 12 GB, with the 1 TB option getting a 16 GB RAM option. The phone boots on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.

Camera

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a quad-camera system. The lead here is a 200 MP sensor with 2x optical quality zoom. Another is a 50 MP ultrawide camera, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 10x optical quality zoom, and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The front sports a 12 MP selfie camera.

Samsung says that the phone sets a new benchmark in Nightography with wider apertures and noise reduction. Likewise, it adds that the wide camera has a 47% brighter aperture for brighter photos. Besides, the front camera now boasts an AI image signal processor, aka ISP, for selfies that produce real-life images capturing natural skin tone, and photos stay true to the details of hair, eyebrows, etc.

Battery, Connectivity, and Other Features

The Galaxy S26 Ultra continues with its 5000mAh battery but with improvements in other aspects. It’s got a 60w wired charging too, which further lowers charging time to juice up the phone. The phone brings Super Fast Charging 3.0, which charges the phone to 75% in just 30 minutes. It also supports 25W wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. For connectivity, the phone is compatible with WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and features NFC, USB Type-C 3.2, etc. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner for security and supports Samsung DeX, Wireless DeX for desktop connectivity.

Our verdict

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra design

Galaxy S26 Ultra is the new stunner from Samsung, which seeks to mark a new evolution in the premium genre. While there are seemingly fewer revolutionary features, it boasts a privacy display and multiple AI features. The battery size remains the same, but has faster charging capability and technology too. The phone sits at the top in its own right without comparison. Going ahead, it will compete with the iPhone 17 Pro Max and other major flagship phones.
