Yangor Ride platform is marking its first anniversary in Nepal. The run has been dominant in a short span, with the company boasting over 226 million kilometers, enough to go to the Moon and back 300 times. In just a year, Yango has shot from being a new player in the ride-hailing industry to topping charts and competing with the existing giant platforms.

Yango started operations in Nepal in May 2025. As of June 2026, the company serves 1 million people with Yango Ride every month, which reflects the growing demand for affordable and reliable mobility services.

Most notably, the company’s moto service has seen a major growth, recording a 247% increase in tips over the last 6 months. The company said in its presser that it maintains an average monthly growth of 30%. In a short period, the mobility platform has already become one of the top ride-hailing platforms in Nepal.

Yango Ride has focused primarily on supporting local partners and drivers across the country. The service supports over 15 partner driver-focused events in Kathmandu and one in Chitwan. It recognizes top performers, providing training opportunities, and strengthening engagement with its partner community.

Commenting on the milestone, the Country Manager for Yango Ride in Nepal, Santosh Pandey, stated: “I am extremely happy and proud to share this achievement with my fellow citizens of Nepal. We are grateful to our users, partner drivers, and local partners for being part of this wonderful journey. This milestone reflects the trust placed in Yango and our commitment to making everyday mobility more accessible while creating flexible earning opportunities for people across Nepal. It is truly a humbling experience and a motivating one for the next few years to come.”

Yango traction since launch

Soon after its launch, Yango gained traction with a great response in Nepal. It owed the positive resonance owing to customer love and local partnerships, such as sponsoring the Lumbini Lions cricket team in the Nepal Premier League. The company expanded its service with Yango Delivery, offering cargo and express delivery tariffs.

With entry into its second year, the ride-hailing platform focuses on maintaining a strong local presence, enhancing service quality, and expanding opportunities for people through multiple everyday services. The company has also played an effective role in generating employment and making a lively gig economy.
