CG Net Super Value Plan up to 300 Mbps internet pack

Chaudhary Group’s internet subsidiary CG Net has announced Super Value Plan bringing three new internet packages at affordable costs. The new plan brings 350 Rockstar Mbps, 250 Mbps Popular, and 150 Mbps Sprinter packages, which has been revised after the first launch.

CG Net rolled out the new internet plans as it is now available beyond the Kathmandu valley. Previously, the ISP offered only 120 Mbps and 50 Mbps packages.

The three new packages will help CG stage a momentous contest with the competitors in the ISP market.

Under the plan, customers get the option of choosing internet packages from 350 Mbps, 250 Mbps, and 150 Mbps speed categories. Likewise, customers can buy the subscription for 1 month, 3 months, and 12 months.

If you choose the 300 Mbps Rockstar package for 12-month subscriptions, it costs an average of Rs.958 a month. At the same time, the 250 Mbps package costs Rs.885, and the 150 Mbps sprinter costs Rs.811 per month making it one of the most conveniently priced internet packages in Nepal.

In the meantime, the 350 Mbps package costs Rs.1,400 on monthly renewal. The same package costs Rs.3,345 on a 3-month subscription. If you subscribe to the package for 12 months, the 350 Mbps Rockstar package will cost you an annual charge of Rs.11,504.

Under the Super Value Plan, the 250 Mbps popular package offers a moderate speed. This costs Rs.1,300 on monthly renewal, and Rs.3,097 if you chose to pay for 3 months. However, the package costs Rs.10,619 on 12 monthly subscriptions. Also see: Fiber Internet Users in Nepal

The cheapest Super Value Plan by CG is the 150 Mbps sprinter package. If your internet needs are basic ranging from browsing to occasional file downloads, this will suffice you.

The 150 Mbps plan comes for Rs.1050 on a monthly renewal. The package, meanwhile, costs Rs.2,850 upon a three-month subscription. If you wish to pay 12 months in advance, it costs you Rs.9,734.

Free dual-band router on an annual subscription

The company has tried to make the Super Value Plan very affordable. For this, the company won’t charge its customers for installation and drop wire. In addition, any package under this plan also comes with a dual-band router for free on an annual and three months subscription.

However, customers need to pay Rs.1,000 for drop wire charges and Rs.1,500 for rental charge of dual band router on packages subscribed for 1 month.

For all the packages, you also need to pay a refundable deposit of Rs 500.

In the first phase of its expansion plans, CG Net brought its service to Pokhara, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Itahari, Jitpur, Dharan, Duhabi, and Simara.

What does it mean for existing customers?

As stated above, CG Net was providing 120 Mbps and 50 Mbps internet packages to date. But with the company launching three new upgraded packages, previous regular internet plans won’t be available for new customers. They will be choosing from 350 Mbps, 250 Mbps, and 150 Mbps packages. However, CG Net says that the existing customers can continue receiving the existing speed packages for now.

The latest internet packages mark CG Net’s latest step to stage a mark in the ISP market. The company has completed one year in service. In June 2021, the ISP ventured into the ISP market with the eye-popping 120 Mbps residential package for just Rs.999. The company has been an architect of the speed war in Nepal.

As per the latest NTA data, CG Net has increased its base to ~70,000 users. Now with its expansion in Pokhara, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Itahari, Jitpur, Dharan, Duhabi, and Simara, CG Net is embarking on the second major phase of growing its base. The company has also launched its Jodi internet service, a combo plan of IPTV service.
