OnePlus 9 Overview
The OnePlus 9 is the successor to the OnePlus 8 that was launched a year back in Nepal. The flagship smartphone arrives with attractive specs and features such as Snapdragon 888 chipset, 120Hz Display, Hasselblad-branded cameras, 4,500mAh battery and more.
Design/Display
Looking at the design of the flagship smartphone, I would say that it is very identical to that of the OnePlus 8T. The brand comes with a new design for its new flagships. The device has a flat display at the front and a curved design at the back. It has a glass front and a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame with a metal-like finish. The camera housing has been revamped compared to its predecessor. The rear camera is housed at the left position and there’s Hasselblad logo. OnePlus 9 has a punchhole cut-out that houses the selfie camera at the front.
OnePlus 9 sports a 6.55 inches Full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display along with the screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also features an aspect ratio of 20:9, 87.6% screen-to-body ratio, 402 PPI density, HDR10+ support, and 1100 nits of peak screen brightness. The smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass Protection both at front and rear. The smartphone also has always on display. It has an In-display Fingerprint Scanner, and Face Unlock for biometrics security.
Hasselblad-branded Triple Camera Setup
Talking about the optical department of the OnePlus 9, it is one of the biggest upgrades and development in the OnePlus 9 flagship smartphones. Hasselblad has ensured the best camera performance by creating a natural color calibration system for color-accurate snaps.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 9 is fueled by the latest Flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Processor. It is a 5 nm based processing technology chipset comprising the ARM Cortex-X1 performance CPU that works at 2.84GHz, three big Cortex-A78 that peaks at 2.4GHz, and four Cortex-A55 low power CPU that clocks at 1.8GHz. It also comes equipped with powerful Adreno 660 GPU graphics.
The device is hooked with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage option. Sadly, there’s no external card slot for memory expansion. On the software front, the device runs on OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 for the global market but will ship with ColorOS 11 in the Chinese market.
OnePlus 9 features a Pro Gaming mode ( Called Fnatic mode) that blocks apps and calls notifications when playing games. The device also incorporates a OnePlus Cool Play, a multi-layered cooling system.
