The junior lineup comes with a compact display, a 6500mAh battery, and the power of the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. Design and Display
POCO X8 Pro has a similar design path to the X8 Pro Max model. It has round corners, vertically set pill-shaped cameras, and a POCO logo at the bottom left. The phone is protected from water and dust with IP68/IP69K certifications.
The phone sports a 6.59-inch display with 2756 x 1268-pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and comes with Dolby Vision and HDR support. The inclusion of the next-gen M10 panel provides 20% improved luminous efficiency while also reducing power consumption. Besides, a 3500 nits of peak brightness ensures that the screen content is finely visible even under direct sunlight, perfect for outdoor phone usage.
Performance and Memory
The phone has the backing of the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset from underneath, firing on an All-Big-Core design with up to 3.4 GHz of clock speed. It’s got a 3D dual-layer IceLoop cooling system with 5300mm2 extra-large area for an efficient heat management system. The phone comes with a feature called WildBoost Optimization, which delivers stable frame rates and lower power consumption even under an intense workload. The phone comes with 8 and 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB and 512 GB of storage.
Camera
The phone comes with a dual-camera setup as seen on the Pro model. The optics are led by the 50 MP main HDR camera and backed by an 8 MP ultrawide camera. The phone comes with an UltraSnap feature, which allows portrait mode, with which you can capture up to 120 photos of kids and animals in motion. The front has a 20 MP camera, which supports group selfies with the camera switching intelligently to a 0.8x wide angle. You get AI Creativity Assistant, AI Reflection Removal, etc., to provide more editing powers.
Battery, Connectivity, and Other Features
Powered by a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, the phone provides a screen time of around two days on moderate use. POCO claims that the phone can offer over 9 hours of gaming, 12 hours of video calls, and 20 hours of social media. To complement the big battery with fast-charging, the device is equipped with a 100W charging capacity, which charges the phone to up to 100% in 48 minutes. It also supports 27W reverse charging, making it a sort of pocket power bank. The phone supports offline communications enabled by Bluetooth over short distances.
For connectivity, the phone supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS and features an infrared port and a USB Type-C port. It has an under-display fingerprint sensor for security.

POCO X8 Pro is priced at INR 32,999 in India for the 8/256 GB variant. The top-end model 12/256 is set at INR 35,999. There’s also an Iron Man Edition model coming in at INR 37,999. It ships in black, white, and mint green color ways.
