Additional offer for Ntc FTTH with combo packs (Voice and internet)

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has added new offers for its FTTH service from Shrawan 5, 2076. Now, customers can use high-speed internet service along with the voice call through the FTTH (Fiber) service. The new offers also include voice call rental, new FTTH combo packs.

Now, they enabled voice call service (same like legacy PSTN phone) in the old and new FTTH lines. Right now, the landline phone from FTTH will automatically have a facility to call other operators. To enable the International call (ISD) service in the FTTH phone aka IP phone, you need to visit nearby Ntc counter.

NTC had been providing a free voice within its network as a promotional offer from few months for FTTH phone. Now that Ntc discontinues free voice call offer, customer needs to recharge their balance for a voice call. Otherwise, they cannot use the voice call service with insufficient balance.

Ntc discontinues free voice calls from landline connected through FTTH fiber.

So, the FTTH customers need to pay Rs 260 as monthly rental for the voice service only. The monthly rental will enable 250 minutes calls to Ntc network. Whereas for other network operators, the same old voice call tariff will apply.

How to recharge the FTTH phone?

To recharge the FTTH landline phone, you can use the same procedure as used for a traditional landline phone. Here are some of the methods to pay the bill or recharge. Read the recharge procedure in details.

  • Going to nearest Ntc counter and pay the bill there
  • Using MPOS, pinless top-up to charge the phone.
  • Dialing 1412 and charge from recharge card.
  • Ntc’s web recharge portal.
  • eSewa or Khalti or other payment providers.

FTTH packs.

Currently, Nepal Telecom has individual and corporate user packages for FTTH. For individual customers, there are 8 Mbps, 18 Mbps, 35 Mbps, and 55 Mbps packages. CPE/Set-top box

For those who buy FTTH internet package for a year, Ntc will provide free CPE for the new FTTH line. Similarly, for those who just buy six months package, Ntc provides a discount of Rs 3000. The new FTTH customer will also get 100-meter fiber for free for the first installation.

FTTH combo packs

Ntc has brought new combo packs from the recently launched Summer offer. With the combo pack, Ntc provides unlimited internet, voice call in the same pack for some duration (month, 3 months, 6 months and a year). The FTTH combo packs include 15 Mbps, 25 Mbps, 40 Mbps, and 60 Mbps unlimited internet, which apply to Fair usage policy (FUP).

The cost of 15 Mbps, 25 Mbps, 40 Mbps, and 60 Mbps unlimited FTTH internet pack costs Rs 1000, Rs 1900, Rs 2250 and Rs 2450 per month. If you subscribe for 3 months to a year, you will get more discounts.

Expansion and additional value

Ntc has increased its pace to launch FTTH service throughout the country. Recently they had launched FTTH service in Dhankuta and Surkhet. Before they had launched it in several other cities including some exchange areas of Kathmandu like Sundhara, Chabahil, Naxal, Gongabu and more.

As FTTH uses optical fiber for the connectivity from their office to customer premises, it can provide triple-play services in the future. Triple play services include high-speed internet, voice, and Video (IPTV) service.
