As NRB published the circular without any preparations and opening formal channels, local businesses and digital marketers came down on the decision. They were found worried about losing their business and the uncertainty of when the official channels are available.

The company claims to provide digital marketing services to local customers in social media and pay the cost incurred in digital marketing service to international social media promotion agencies through banking channels following all the legal requirements including NRB guidelines for service fee payment.
