Nepal Telecom (NTC) has reached an agreement with Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) to provide FTTH internet services in the local government’s various ward offices. The agreement papers were signed by Reena Dongol, Director at NTC Provincial Directorate, Bagmati Province, and Rekha Das Shrestha, Chief Administrative Officer at Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

NT will now provide Connectivity Service in Lalitpur Metropolitan City via its FTTH Optical Fiber Network and offer its service as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Likewise, LMC will bear the expenses for necessary equipment, installation, operation, and repair and maintenance. However, it won’t have to pay for the FTTH CPE device.

High-Speed Service for government offices is an important need

The government of Nepal has prioritized high-speed internet and connectivity for the country’s digital revolution. FTTH Fiber internet which leverages fiber optics for reliable and consistent internet provides much necessary broadband service in ward offices in Lalitpur. NT Fiber, the name for the company’s FTTH internet service comes with next-generation broadband capability to meet current-day internet needs.

With high-quality internet service from NT, the ward offices, health centers, divisions, branches, etc. in Lalitpur Metropolitan will be able to efficiently deliver its services. It will also help profoundly in the digital transformation of the services.
