micromax in series price in nepal launch

On November 3rd, 2020, lost smartphone manufacturing veteran company Micromax launched its new IN Series. This launch marks the comeback of the company after a long time. Micromax IN Series lines up with two smartphones; Micromax IN 1b as well as Micromax IN Note 1. Now the Micromax IN Note 1 has officially launched in Nepal.

These smartphones are targeted towards budget segments which is the favorite segment of Indian consumers with the likes of the Xiaomi brand. The company has done a lot of research and homework before launching the devices. They know they will face fierce competition in this segment but if they succeed, this will start their redemption in the smartphone market in India. Looking at the specifications at this price, it’s somewhat impressive. Let’s dive deep into both of these Micromax In smartphones and see what it is capable of.

Micromax IN Series Overview

Micromax IN Note 1 Overview

The Micromax IN Note 1 is also advertised by the phrase “X-Factor Of India”. The X pattern on the rear side of the phone may have inspired this phrase. IN Note 1 flaunts a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPSD LCD display that has a punch-hole design. It’s an edge to edge display so the viewing experience is immersive.

The punch-hole is placed in the middle of the display which reminds of the Samsung Galaxy A51. The power button and volume rockers are placed at the right edge whilst the Google Assistant button at the left. 3.5mm headphone jack, Speaker Grill, and USB Type-C connector are placed at the bottom edge. On the rear side, it features an Oleophobic coating to avoid fingerprint dents. The finish is matte like and is also pretty eye-pleasing.

Coming to the camera department, it boasts a Quad rear camera. 48MP Main Sensor, 5MP Wide-angle Sensor, 2MP Macro Sensor, and 2MP Depth Sensor are used in the setup. 16MP Sensor is confined inside the punch-hole for shooting selfies. Both setups are able to shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Micromax IN 1b Overview

Micromax-IN-1B-price-in-nepal

The Micromax IN 1b is like a Lite version of IN Note 1. It comes cheaper but with some specification compromises. Tear-drop styled display, as well as dual rear camera setup, are the visually noticeably downgrades.

This device comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. It has the same Oleophobic Coating to avoid fingerprint dents. However, there’s no finish that would emit the X pattern. Instead, the finish is matte which looks beautiful. All the buttons and ports placement is as same as the IN Note 1.

There’s a dual rear camera at the back. This setup uses a 13MP Main Sensor and 2MP Depth Field Sensor. Moreover, it has an 8MP front camera inside the Tear-drop. This front camera is able to shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps.

Our Verdict

Micromax IN Series will be going head to head with great budget phones like Xiaomi Redmi 9C, Redmi 9A, and more. You can check more on our list of “Best Phones Under Rs. 15,000 In Nepal” to find more.

The specifications and design that Micromax is bringing with its IN budget series are magnificent. Gaming optimized chipset and CPU, 4GB RAM as well as 5000mAh giant battery is just excellent. I don’t see failure in this In series of Micromax. It’s a great value phone and might be one of the phones yet in this price segment. Hope it launches in Nepal after its campaign in India hits successfully. What a product to bring whilst doing a comeback by Micromax; an applaudable work indeed.
