Samsung has officially started discussing the performance of its upcoming Exynos 2600 chipset. Said to power the next-gen Samsung phones- Galaxy S26 series in some regions, the chipset is also drawing wide attention regarding its specifications. Here, we have some numbers, and they might not be awe-inspiring on the surface.
Samsung mentions improvement with the Exynos S2600 chipset
Samsung has outlined that its Exynos 2600 chipset will deliver about 5% performance improvement and 8% efficiency boost. And since it’s going to be a 2nm built silicon, its size will be reduced by 5%. These numbers are not godawful, as the traditional expectations are that the next-generation chipset should come with a major bump on all fronts. However, the real deal is that they come with little but extremely crucial optimizations and performance show up on the end devices.
Anyway, the South Korean giant has reached a $16.5 billion deal with Tesla for its AI6 chipset, which will be built using a 2nm process.
Dimensity 9400 was Android’s first 3nm chipset. Now, Samsung wants to be the first Android OEM to bring the first-ever 2nm chipset.

Samsung upbeat with Exynos 2600 yield rate
Samsung also says that the Exynos 2600 has reached a 60% rate so far. If you are unaware, yield rate refers to the successful production of a chipset, meaning products without any defects. There are also reports of these chips coming slightly cheaper than Snapdragon chipsets.
The Exynos 2600 chipset could feature a deca-core setup with 1+3+6 CPU configuration with a maximum clock speed of 3.8GHz.

Samsung is likely to use the Exynos 2600 chipset on the S26 and S26 Plus in Europe, Korea, and some Asian markets and stick with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on the S26 Ultra smartphone.
