Unisoc T9300 midrange chipset has been launched for upcoming affordable phones. Mostly seen in entry-level phones, the new chipset will power phones in slightly higher-priced devices in 2025. Unisoc T9300 5G features
Performance
Unisoc T9300 5G comes with eight cores- Cortex-A78 performance cores clocking up to 2.4 GHz and Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. It’s paired with a dual-core Mali-G57 GPU. The company claims that the processor boasts 38% improvement in energy efficiency from its predecessor, T8300 from 2024. The chipset supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. There’s nothing fancy like in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, but expect decent performance for phones in the price range they come in.
Display
In terms of display, the Unisoc T9300 supports FHD+ resolution at the presently common 144Hz refresh rate or 1.5k resolution at 90Hz with HDR10+. There’s also support for eye protection for blue light, sunlight, and night viewing, along with Hi-Fi level audio quality. The manufacturer has also included the Unisoc Miracle Gaming engine for a smooth gaming experience.
Photography
The chipset supports a quad-core ISP for 200 MP main cameras or dual 20+20 MP cameras. It brings improved noise reduction with multi-frame noise reduction (MFNR) and temporal noise reduction (TNR) technologies. The company’s 3A algorithm 5.0 delivers better brightness, contrast levels, dynamic range, etc.
Connectivity
In the connectivity domain, it supports 5G SA and NSA, 100MHz communication bandwidth, dual-VoNR, etc. Notably, the new chipset comes with NR NTN satellite communication capabilities. The smartphones powered by this chipset can boot on the latest Android 16 software.
Which phones will use Unisoc T9300 5G?
Unisoc T9300 5G chipset will be used by Android OEMs such as Motorola, Itel, Lava, etc. in 2025 and 2026. Expect them to bring some of the most affordable 5G phones in Nepal, too.
