CG Net has launched Nepal’s first-ever and only postpaid internet plan. With this offer, CG Net customers will be able to pay for the package after using the internet service. This unique subscription model lets you buy either internet-only or internet + IPTV packages at affordable costs.

The CG’s subsidiary internet company brought the offer with the “Use Now, Pay Later” theme. Customers will now have options for internet-only and internet-plus TV subscriptions. If you only subscribe to the internet, it will come for Rs 1,049 for 250 Mbps a month. For both the internet and IPTV offers, it costs Rs 1,154.

Similarly, for 150 Mbps internet, it costs Rs 884 per month and for 150 Mbps internet + TV, the price is Rs 973.

The company says the offer will benefit customers who wish to pay monthly and enjoy high-speed internet at an affordable cost. It is the first time an internet service provider has brought a postpaid model package.

To compare, the plans are cheaper than the regular CG Net internet packages. You won’t have to pay for router and installation charges. Besides, it includes a month’s credit period. You only have to pay a deposit that will be returned to the customer later. The deposit ranges from Rs 1500 to Rs 300 from 150 Mbps internet to that of 250 Mbps+TV.

Being a technophile, I am particularly fascinated by the evolution of mobile networks in Nepal from legacy networks (2G, 3G) to 4G (with VoLTE, VoWiFi, eSIM) and the prospects of the upcoming 5G, and equally enthralled by the development of internet from the dial-up connection to the 2 Gbps XGS-PON fiber broadband technology and their transformative impact in the country.
