Oppo finally launched a mid-range smartphone Oppo F17 in Nepal. It was unveiled alongside Oppo F17 Pro, Oppo Watch, and Oppo Enco W51 a few days back on September 29th. Oppo F17 Overview
Oppo F17 is the toned down or cheaper variant of the Oppo F17 Pro. The smartphone comes with attractive design, Ultra-Sleek Leather-Feel Body, in-display Fingerprint Unlock, and many more impressive features.
Design/Display
Oppo F17 also comes with the ultra sleek design same as that of its sibling Oppo F17 Pro. It comes with a leather-feel back surface that makes for an exquisite texture. On the front, the device has a dew drop notch style design compared to pill-shaped hole-punch of Pro variant. The Oppo F17 only weighs 163 grams and has a thickness of 7.45 mm.
Oppo F17 flaunts a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a high resolution of 2400 X 1080 pixels. It comes with 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a peak 600 nits brightness. The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Camera
Talking about the optical department of the smartphone, Oppo F17 sports a quad-camera rear setup with a square-shaped camera module. It consists of a 16 MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture & 1/3.06″ sensor size, an 8 MP Fixed Focus ultra-wide-angle camera that boasts a 119.9° field of view with f/2.2 aperture and 1/4″ sensor size, and two 2 MP Mono Lens with f/2.4 aperture, and 1/5″ sensor size.
On the front, Oppo F17 comes with a 16 MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1/3.1″ sensor size. You will be able to click beautiful selfies with the smartphone. It comes with features like AI studio lighting, AI scene detection, portrait mode, screen flash, HDR, and more.
Coming to the videography of the smartphone, the rear cameras are capable of recording videos up to 1080P/720P@30fps, and also support EIS. Verdict
Oppo F17 is a great phone if you are looking for a thin and stylish design. The smartphone will surely attract you with its looks and battery prowess along with 30W VOOC fast charge. But still, the phone is not up to the mark compared to its contemporaries at this price range. Oppo F17 is not for you if you are into hardcore gaming and want majestic pictures. The camera is average looking for its price and could have offered better chipset. So go for the smartphone if you want a slim and premium looking phone and if you aren’t much into gaming and photography.
Personally, I would not buy the smartphone, rather I will opt for Realme 6 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max that are at a similar price range.
