Ncell, the private telecom operator after re-branding with an Axiata company, was known to be aggressive in terms of business and product promotion. Ncell has not brought any significant offer since the re-branding offer ( 50 minutes of on net talk time and 500 SMS ) but it has started giving free gifts to people in public places. Similar gifts that we witnessed is a surprise gift pack from Ncell at QFX cinemas. As the movie was about to begin, there was a display in the screen which asked to look for surprise gifts under your seat. The cinema hall was mostly packed for the Nepali movie “Chakka Panja” and people started looking for the gift which excited them a lot.
There were people from Ncell who asked the people inside to show the gifts towards their camera for taking some pictures. We know they will definitely use the picture in their advertisement or social medias. So what was the gift!!! Actually it was not that expensive nor it was any mobile accessories but the gift pack included a notepad, a mask and a key ring, all having Ncell logo and purple color. Though it was a very small gifts, people’s excitement for the surprise gift was enormous which makes Ncell quite successful in promoting their brand.
Here is the photo of a person holding two Ncell surprise gifts.
As part of the promotion, Ncell is also organizing Ncell Mela in five cities (Narayanghat, Pokhara, Butwal, Dharan and Birtamod) for entertainment activity, food, games and fun. Ncell mela is known to start from Sept 15 ( Bhadra 30) and includes major artists like Sugam Pokharel, Shiv Pariyar, Sandeep Chetri, Milan Amatya, Laurey, Ramon Das Shrestha, Samridhi Rai , The Axe band for the concert.
