Oppo Super VOOC charging launch

OPPO, the leading innovator for smartphone and charging technologies, has released its 125W flash charge, 65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge, and an ultra-small portable 50W mini SuperVOOC charger along with its 110W flash charger today. The 125W flash charge will charge your phone in 20 minutes, with intermediate 40% in just 5 minutes.

The 125W flash charge that it has launched proves to be the latest flash charge technology among the present day mobile phones within the industry. Not only that but it has also enhanced the charging to be safer and more efficient with an advanced encryption algorithm and strict temperature control regulators.

The 65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge ensures faster charging in comparison to the usual wired charging. Moreover, the 50W mini SuperVOOC charger and the 110W flash charger are preferable than the high power chargers because of their extraordinary and unparalleled light and portable features.

Jeff Zhang, the Chief Charging Technology Scientist at the OPPO company remarks that the growing use of 5G and high power consumption applications worldwide has created obstacles for the battery life of mobile phones. He further mentions that ever since the VOOC flash charge was launched in 2014, OPPO has been demonstrating its initiatives for faster and qualitative charging. Lastly, he highlighted the company’s engagement towards providing its customers with a  safe and convenient ultra-fast charging experience.

125W flash charge technology

Oppo 125W flash charge

The secret behind OPPO’s 125W flash charge technology is that it makes the use of direct charging technology which normally charges a 4000mAh battery up to 41% in 5 minutes and at its fastest rate fully charges it in 20 minutes. It can keep up with the mainstream protocols like 65W PD and 125W PPS and is also adaptable with the previous SuperVOOC and VOOC flash charge protocols. This is what makes it the cutting edge in the charging technology.

Additionally, the 125W flash charge technology has added 10 additional temperature sensors for monitoring the charging status and establishing optimum safety of the users while charging the devices. Not to mention, to reinforce the safety measures, it uses fuse overvoltage protection measures, Type-C to Type-C wire as well as 128-bit high-strength encryption algorithm.

Apart from this, it can support a charging scheme of up to 20V 6.25A. It has complemented the power density properties by decreasing the time period of charging without increasing the size of the charger. For the battery, it has double-6C cells with breakthrough ratio, industry-leading multiple tab structures, charge,  a highly integrated MCU to upgrade the charging.

While in an emergency, it is bickering to find your wired charging cable and get the device charged as quickly as possible. To solve this problem of its customers, OPPO has led the wireless flash charge technology market by its 65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge. It not only adopts self-developed isolated charge pump technology but also parallels dual-coil design to further increase its wireless charging efficiency.

OPPO’s 65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge technology has the capacity to charge a 4000mAh battery fully in 30 minutes at its fastest rate. It has applied up to five-fold safety protection measures and a foreign object detection function.

What the wireless charger actually looks like?

The unique feature of the OPPO’s AirVOOC wireless flash charger is that it contains a beautifully sculpted glass of rapid prototyping technology. There is a semiconductor cooler at the bottom of the charger to adjust the heating mechanism so that the charger does not heat up during charging. Meanwhile, the temperature at the back of the phone is kept over  2℃ lower than that of the fan to check the heat. These unique features make the user’s charging experience better and convenient.

50W mini SuperVOOC charger

OPPO also launched its 50W mini SuperVOOC charger making it the world’s smallest and the thinnest charger. You can find the size of the charger to be similar to that of a business cardholder. This makes it extremely easier for the user to carry it in their shirt pockets or a purse instead of carrying around the standard heavy charger. It is compatible with VOOC protocols and can also charge mobile phones and laptops.

The idea of making the charger smaller is by reducing the size of components that take up most space(including the conventional electrolytic capacitor) and introducing pulse charging. Pulse charging is the GaN high-frequency switching power supply technology having high power clamping diodes.

110W mini flash charger

The 110W mini flash charger works on the same principle as that of the 50W mini SuperVOOC charger but is slightly bigger in size. This mini charger is congenial with all standards including  SuperVOOC up to 65W and VOOC up to 30W. Along with the dual-level architecture, this charger is made with the concept of laminate and compact structures making it of just 35.76 cm³ in size.
